Vicka has always considered marriage as a possibility for her.
When she was asked about it she always answered: "I will do whatever God wants, I don't exclude any possibility.God and Our Lady respect our freedom."
She has not waited recent weeks to know that married life can be blessed by God in
a very special way.

On Saturday, January 26th, 2002, in the St. James’ parish church of Medjugorje, was celebrated the wedding of Vicka Ivankovic, one of the visionaries of Medjugorje, to Marijo Mijatovic.
Vicka is 37 years old. Marijo 36.
(Pronounce: Mario).
Vicka is now Mrs. Mijatovic-Ivankovic.

The marriage was blessed by Fr. Branko Radoš, pastor of Medjugorje, the Holy Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Jozo Zovko and Fr. Ivan Landeka with more than 20 other priests from many countries.

The wedding attracted hundreds of friends from all over the world and many pilgrims, some of them who came especially for the occasion.
Boys and girls from the Community of the Cenacle sung and played at the wedding.
Sister Elvira came to Medjugorje for this solemn occasion.

Vicka will live in her new home in Krehin Gradac near Medjugorje, but she will continue to receive pilgrims and to be a witness of Our Lady's messages on the stairs of her old house in Bijakovici.

Marijo was born in Sarajevo and was a helper of the late Fr. Slavko.
He is in charge of the war orphans village created by Fr. Slavko.
