At "Medjugorje Messages" we feel a great sadness about the events of September 11th.
We are united in prayer with all of you who have suffered directly or indirectly in this tragedy.
God bless the souls of all the victims and their families.
We feel close to the people of the United States in this difficult time. May God bless America!
For those of us connected to Our Lady and to the Apparitions of Medjugorje the events hold another sorrow:
we know that the Virgin Mary has been appearing for 20 years to help her children avoid such catastrophes and yet very few people listen to her pleas.
But it is a great comfort for us to know that Our Lady still comes to earth every day to bless our world, to pray for us and to guide us.
Our Lady has a special plan for America, and now the United States lives one of it's finest hours when we see how many acts of courage, of love and solidarity happen every day. Also let us say that patriotism is a healthy feeling.
Americans are a generous and courageous people and now it is obvious for the whole world to see.

On September 11, 2001 Ivan during his daily Apparition saw the Virgin Mary in tears. She was silent and tears streamed down her blessed face throughout the entire Apparition.

Ivan's wife has just given birth, back in the States, to their second child, a new baby boy. Ivan was making arrangements to leave Medjugorje to join his wife and family when tragedy struck. Since the airlines were shut down he had to remain in Medjugorje.
Our Lady has invited Ivan to the mountain of the Apparitions on September 14th.
At 10p.m. she appeared to him for about 7 minutes and asked for prayers for peace.
During this Apparition Our Lady did not cry but she was very sad and very concerned.
Then on September 25, Our lady tells us that Satan is at work and that he wants war and hatred and she repeats one of her most important messages of Medjugorje: "Pray and fast that God may give you peace."

Now it's time to listen to Our Lady especially when she says that: "You will not have peace through the Presidents but through prayer"
Even the President knows that, who called for prayers and said: "I am a loving man but I have a job to do!"

Last but not least, let us remember what Our Lady said on the first day of this year of 2001 to Marija:
"Satan is now free from his chains." But what is the strongest weapon against Satan? PRAYER with the heart!
